The Loto-Lok Adjustable Cable Lockout CL-6F-4MC is a purpose-built device conceived to deliver high-versatility, high-reliability isolation in lock-out/tag-out (Loto) safety programmes. When machinery, valves, switchgear or other energy sources need secure de-energisation prior to maintenance or inspection, this cable lockout provides a flexible yet robust means to control access and enforce safe working protocols. At its core is a length of stainless-steel cable with a diameter of 4mm (approx. 5/32 Inch) coated in durable, high-visibility plastic. The cable stretches to an overall working length of 1.8 metres (6 ft), allowing lockout of large equipment, multiple points or side-by-side valves and gates—far beyond the reach of fixed rigid devices. The body of the lockout features a pull-tight mechanism: feed the cable through the energy isolation point(s), then back through the device, cinch out slack and secure. The design accommodates up to four padlocks—enabling group lockout scenarios, where multiple staff must apply their own personal padlocks before work begins. Constructed from rugged thermoplastic/polymers and steel, the device is built to withstand industrial environments—impact, vibration, exposure, repeated operations. The bright red housing enhances visibility in workshop or field settings, quickly signalling to operator and auditor that the lock-out is in place and functioning. Ergonomically it is designed for ease: workers can wrap the cable around bulky or irregular objects (valve wheels, gate levers, large electrical disconnect handles) and secure it without specialized tools, while the padlock holes remain exposed for quick lock application. The large length accommodates multiple loop usages, including around large bushings, multiple isolators or panels, while still permitting tight, tensioned closure—reducing risk of bypass, slack or unintended operation.
