Weicon Rust Remover Gel, 10101908, 1 Ltr, Blue

Gel for fast and reliable removal of rust and tarnish. Rust Remover Gel can be used on ferrous steel, brushed stainless steel, copper, brass, chrome and silver. It has a high reaction speed, penetrates very well and is very economical. The gel removes tarnish in just a few seconds. With rust, the removal process can take between 15 minutes and 12 hours–depending on the degree of corrosion. The blue gel does not need to be heated for application but can be used at room temperature. This solution has a natural, solvent-free composition and ensures gentle rust removal. Weicon Rust Remover Gel can be used in various areas of industry and trade.

Surface Pre-Treatment

The surface has to be dry, clean and free from dust, oil and grease. Remove loose rust, dirt and paint residues using a wire brush, grinding discs, etc. Remove sanding dust from the surface with WEICON Cleaner Spray S or WEICON SurfaceCleaner.

Processing

Recommend an ambient temperature of +20 Deg.C for processing. Apply Rust Remover Gel generously to the surface with a brush and work in thoroughly. With the help of this technique, the Rust Remover Gel penetrates well into all cracks and rough depths. Keep the treated area as moist as possible (e.g. with foil) to prevent the gel from drying. This method increases the efficiency. Depending on the degree of rusting, allow to take effect for at least 24 hours. Then rinse thoroughly with clean water and a sponge or brush and dry. If necessary, the process can be repeated several times. After treatment, the passive layer on the surface should be sealed promptly with a protective coating (e.g. WEICON Zinc Spray).

Storage

Keep tightly closed in the original packaging. Protect from direct sunlight and frost. The storage temperature should be between +5 and +15 Deg.C. Store the container in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place
